owner from new. Starts first time and an extremely safe ride due to its wider tyres. Very sad to see it go as served me well on my commute to work and back for the past 4 years. Fully serviced last year October when all the filters, oil and spark plugs were changed as well as the rear brake pads. New rear tyre fitted Nov 2011 and the front tyre was replaced Dec 2010 so still a lot of tread left due to only being used for commuting 6 miles a day. Cheap on insurance and on fuel as returns just under 90 miles per gallon. Long MOT until 30th March 2013, Tax runs out Dec 2012. With full set of original keys and user manual.Only negatives on this bike is the cosmetic damage as shown in the last three pics above. This does not affect its riding performance and has never bothered me whatsoever. It was caused when the bike had a fall on my driveway off its side stand and the black cracked panel is sold by dealers at a price of £28 + vat, so not a bank breaker. Also shown is the chip on the hand rail which I am sure could be an easy fix for an expert DIY person even.All in all ready to go for the new owner with no hidden expense.Any viewing welcome before buying and genuine offers will be considered. as new and the scooter has covered just 1462 miles. Sometimes this model is known as a VP250. I spent 6 months looking for the right one of these but sadly with a new born baby and a change in job location it is now up for sale. It has had just one owner prior to me who purchased brand new. | A bit about these bikes, I purchased this after enjoying the strength and reliability of a Yamaha Cygnus X 125 as I wanted something with larger wheels and more power. But I still needed something which is designed for urban city riding and nimble enough to filter between traffic and not too large/wide like the Suzuki Burgman or Honda S-wing The X-city 250 is very much like the Yamaha X-max but the seat is narrower and allows someone of average height to reach the ground with the heels of both feet. The insurance could be lower (possibly) than the Yamaha x-max too as I got some cheap quotes at just £200 per year. Also the front wheel is of a larger diameter so you don`t feel the pot-holes as much in my opinion. As for the fuel economy for these bikes, I`m not sure of the exact mpg figure but it is only slightly more than the Cygnus-x 125.
