it was a one owner bike with genuine 10k miles. It does have great compression and runs very smoothly. New rings were apparently put in on standard bores.Riding wise, it is real fun and it flies. let me down once. It has good tyres and battery. The paint is looking tired (or weathered or `has a nice patina` if you like) and the exhaust and silencers could do with being re-chromed. The wheels and chrome mudguards are in much better condition. It starts and rides well and has an electronic ignition by Piranha and all things work as they should. My reasons for selling are I am a bit long in the tooth (1938 model) and the joints don`t work aswell as they used to, hence I have bought a step-through scooter to keep me on the road. perfectly with no knocks or rattles, it does everything it is supposed to do and is as reliable as hell.It is a great looking bike which turns quite a few heads and has acres of chrome to pollish. It has loads of torque and will sit at 80mph all day and is really comfortable to ride.It has about a £1,000 of extras which include :- Light bar & spots, wind screen, crash/engine bars with 3" spots/driving lights & cruising pegs. chrome horn, rider floorboards, Jardine slash cut exhausts (lovelly sound),rear peg extensions, chrome tax disc holder, chrome supports with saddlebags, sissybar and rear luggage rack.The tyres are excellent,in fact the rear one is just about new.The bike has only done 300 miles since it`s last MOT which is due for renewal in July and I am more than confident it will fly through with no probs and am willing to reduce the final price by £50 to cover renewal. shaft sits in is broken. this had been sealed off both sides with steel plates and the bike had been used by bump starting it. i dont have the time to change the casting so i am selling it as is. the bike could either be bodged back how it was and used by bump starting it or a secong hand casting used to replace the broken one. theres no shortage of yzf 450 being broke here on ebay. as it it is the bike will start with a bump start and will ride fine. i have removed the inside plate and silicone sealer so oil now leaks out the hole. a tube of silicone and a bit of tin and the bike could be used as is if you wished. me personaly i would want to change the casting.bike can be viewed if required. low start with no reserve. auction will run to the end and will not be ended early. feel free to ask any questions. serious bidders only and cash on collection within 7 days of auction end. his 80`s. He bought it new in 1977 from Motorcycle city in Hants, he only used it for one year clocking up 14000, it was then laid up in his garage where it stayed for the next 34 years untill he moved house at which point he decided that he would sell as he probably wasn`t going to use it again, this was when I purchased it from him. The bike is very original as you would expect, it has it`s tool kit, owner`s book, both keys ( one of which has never been used) the original V5 showing Motorcycle city as the owner with no previous owners, its runs perfect and sounds lovely, doesn`t smoke, no rattles etc, everything works, but will need a battery, the brakes are a bit sticky and the tyres have gone hard, seat is perfect, no tears, no rot on base, the paint work has gone home, and the chrome is a a bit speckled, but if you are looking for an XS750 to restore, I would say that this is the one as it has so little use from new, it would be a very straight forward resto whitch is why I bought it, but unfortunatley I am not going to have the time to do it. When i originally bought it the guy i got it off had just completely rebuilt the engine. Its a 2 stroke 125 lump which pulls well for its size and originally i was going to get the seat recovered and the frame stripped, sand blasted and powder coated but never got round to it. The seat as mentioned is a bit tatty and the frame is scratched in places but its all there and working so ideally just needs a cosmetic tidy up. UK speedo and headlight fitted.All bodywork, exhaust system, brakes, wheels, suspension, swing arm, etc. were removed.The Swing arm, main stand rear suspension all linkages and all the front end including head stock have been stripped for check/service and refinishing and polished before rebuild. As the bike was reassembled most nuts bolts and brackets were re plated.Fully serviced on re assembly including all filters, oils and plugs. All valve clearances checked and adjusted if needed, carbs balanced, etc.Stainless exhaust collector and new tall screen fitted .Will have the bike MOT,d at point of sale. Hope you can see from the finished photo`s its condition.The bike has had over a 100 hours on the work bench and is completely ready to ride/tour this season.I have worked on this model for around 17 years now and have yet to come across a mechanically stronger model. use. The first owner raced it for 2 years and the second used it about 5 times in 3 years. I bought it with the intention of racing it but have not got round to it so it might as well go to someone who will use it. The bike has recently had new clutch plates, chain, rear brake pads and graphics kit. The engine has plenty of compression and starts very easily, runs quietly and rips cleanly through the gears. It is a fast bike and feels very tight. The only negatives I know are that the tyres are worn and there is about 5mm of up and down play in the rear suspension, this seems to be mostly the bottom shock bearing. The bike is located on the Isle of Man but I will assist in any way I can with the delivery. TT week is nearly here so there are many vans going to and from the Island. unbeleivable that a bike could be in this what can only be described as showroom condition after 38 years!The only part i believe has been replaced is the seatcover.The tank has a couple of really small marks on which you would need to send me an email address so i can send hi-res pics as they don`t show on small ebay pics.The tank hasn`t been painted at allthe pipe is as new,and these are the first things to get beaten up.we have the silencer for it though its not in the pictures.It starts and runs perfectly.The original fiberglass sidepanels have the original black backgrounds still on them and it uses all origonal quick release fastners.The front oval is a new UFO part fitted by us.I beleve it is still on the tyres that were fitted as original equipment.this isn`t an old beater that`s been run over with a oily rag like some other vintage bike dealers.Weve put the bike through the workshops and it`s 100% ready to use,nothing needs spending on this bike to go racing.(though it would be a shame to even use such a mint example)£2150.00Please call to arrange a viewing as the bike is in secure storage and we need a couple of hours to collect the bike and put some fuel in (they dont allow us to keep bikes there with fuel in) We consider all part exchanges,providing its a good deal we can work with most bikes.A full VAT receip X | £2150.00 | |||||||

It starts and runs better than any 2 stroke I have seen there is no bogging on the throttle when you first start it from cold it wont foul plugs as the jetting is set correctly...you can get it out of your garrage fire it up and it will idle fine with out any help. It feals like a brand new bike and it should. I have had lots of silly offers for it but I am heading towards keeping it as at the end of the day I have a mint bike and its better the devil you know.
