in the Dealers in 2007. It was purchased new from Stirling Marina,http://www.stirlingsmarine.co.uk/ a Yamaha dealer based just outside of Glasgow, and has only ever been used in fresh water at Loch Lomond by myself when i have spare time. The ski is in excellent condition and regularly washed, polished and sealed to keep it looking good. I have also fitted a Riva Racing seat cover with gold stitching which not only looks great but it perfect for keeping a good grip on the ski when in the water. It will also come with the Indespension trailer pictured in the photographs. It has 68.1 hours on the clock which may go up ever so slightly if it is used this week in the high temperatures forecast, however the reason I am selling my ski is simply due to a lack of use as a result of a new business venture which leaves me next to no time to continue enjoying it, and it is a waste to leave such a cracking machine inside on nice summer days without use. These bikes average around 100 miles to a gallon of petrol so needless to say, its a very economical form of transport and ideal to use to commute with our current fuel costs. to Bottom/Big end barring has gone and am not been able to find some one to fix it for me. Although i did assume that it might of been the top end that had gone I replaced the piston, piston rings, barrel, head gasket and base gasket which come to £70 and i have the invoice to prove it. Also needs a few minor things like speedo cable and choke cable as when I purchased the vechile it was already like that. Before problem acquired worked lovely for example lights work, gears are fine, horn works, clutch is good ect. ect. Although the Bottom/Big end barring has gone, it still starts and runs but i wouldn`t suggest riding it as may cause further problem`s so would need picking up. on my nerves. this is a nice mid weight bike, bodywork has seen better day s, been resprayed a couple of times, now is in Matt and satin black, with red wheels, mudguard, and red heat proof exhaust paint that can easily be sprayed over with black if you want it less obvious. Twin chrome headlights and screen make it look great as a naked bike, 4 into 1 exhaust looks and sounds great. This is an old bike but is great value, and with a very minor bit of tlc will be very rewarding. Recent tyres, recent chain and sprockets, renthal straight bars, and a nice digital speedo. One of the rear indicators has come loose but I have a brand new pair of matching mini indicators ready to put on. 3 keys, electric start, no books unfortunately but easy to look after. Lights and electrics work fine, I thing it should go through the next mot no problem. Nice and meaty sound to the exhaust, treat yourself to some cheap summer fun, or a project that needs no urgent work, legal to ride away, collect evenings from Lincoln, not in the middle of the day as I am at work and the other half knows nothing about my bikes. Bad bits, bodywork has been done by an amateur, but take 3 steps back and it looks cool. Indicator needs fitting, and that`s probably about it. all, a little bit of history about this bike. It was purchased off a friend last month who had let his CBT lapse and had it sitting in his garage unused. It has only 600 genuine miles on the clock and doesn`t need its first MOT until 2014. It starts, runs and rides great as you would expect from a bike this new. This has all the expensive extras fitted straight from the dealer such as a tinted DB screen, R&G tail tidy, Yamaha crash protector and carbon yoke protector. | Now for the bad points, it has been dropped onto its left side. I have taken as many pictures of the damage as Ebay will allow and can also send over some more if anyone requires. The resulting damage was a bent gear lever, a smashed indicator and the Yamaha crash bung coming off (waste of money that was). I have since replaced the whole footrest, the indicator and have secured the panel using the crash bung bolt. You could also add the crash bung back on if you grab one from Yamaha. I will include the old footrest so you can see the extent of the damage (a bent gear lever). There are a couple of scratches on the mirror plastic and the exhaust – the extent is shown in the images. The bike has not been recorded and is HPI clear. for sale as a project 90% complete. when i bought it i found that it had a badly scored barrel so i have spent out nearly £300 on Having the barrel rebored and new piston and rings and all new oils seals and gaskets. on starting it seems to have an intermittent problem with the throttle not being as responsive as you would like. it wants to rev high then nearly shut off. then it would be fine. i have been advised ity sounds like an air leak somewhere. clutch needs adjusting. it has a brand new chain and spark plug. plastics a little scuffed and dull. go.its a 2001 aerox liquid cooled, these bikes are awesome fun and can be tuned to do speeds of about 70mph quite easily.i have spent quite a lot of money on upgrading parts on this bike and also spares that will come with the bike.There is a high performance polini street race 70cc head/barrel/piston which was installed, also a brand new leo vince tt exhaust with rollers and clutch spings(rollers and springs not fitted) yet.There has also been new battery (£27) spark plug (£8), air filter(£4), rear shock(£25), coolant, fitted within the last 2 weeks.The bike at the moment is a non runner, its not seized it has compression, spark and lots of fresh fuel. just wont kick over.In my opinion to get it started, it could do with the carb stripping or replacing as the needle looks a little corroded, (bike been stood for 3 years).I will be including the forks in the photo, as the ones on the bike have pitted, these cost me £40, i do have for sale but not included in the auction (unless buy it now is used) an engine from an 04 plated aerox that will come with the full loom.which could be sold for a good profit as the bike does not need the engine but it was thrown in with some items i bought from a friend who was also selling an aerox.no timewasters, overseas or anyone with less than 10 +ve feedback. your bids will be cancelled, NO X | £255.00  | |||||||

comfortable than my Kawasaki ZXR400. It is... but not enough to be worthwhile. As a result I don´t really use it, I can´t find the previous MOT´s now but I´m certain it had over 45,000 miles on the clock when I bought it, so I´ve done less than 1,000 miles on it since July 2009.The bike itself... It´s had 1 careful owner (the first one) and 8 other previous owners who weren´t very careful at all, and has 46,074 miles on the clock. Condition-wise it looks like you add a zero on the end of the number of keepers and the mileage...There are numerous dents, scratches and scrapes on pretty much every panel. It´s clearly been "down the road" at one point as the engine casing and fairing show, but the damage is fairly minor (indicating a slow slide rather than a serious and spectacular "off") and has been there without causing any problems ever since I owned the bike. If you´re looking for a bike to display at shows, you´re looking at the wrong advert.The rear tyre is in need of replacement, I think it´s just about legal, but only just! One of those jobs I´ve kept meaning to do but not got round to. The chain looks very dry, I shall spray some lube on it, but it will probably need taking off and greasing up properly, or replacing. clean and tidy!I have had new battery put on (£70) and tyres have plenty of tread. She`s been kept garaged through her winters. This bike flew through the last MOT, Aug 11 with no problems at all. She will sail through the next one in Aug no doubt, Nothing needs to be done to this beast as far as I`ve been told by my registered motorcycle mechanic friends! Starts first time! No problems. As you can see in the pictures, she looks fantastic.. great condition and paintwork/chrome still looks in beautiful condition. With a nice polish on the chrome and a wax she comes up literally like new!! If in any pics the paint my appear faded to you, it`s just the contrast on the camera. People ALWAYS comment on how good the bike looks whenever I take her out.Personalized number plates: R651 DRE ... surely one of the best-looking and sounding 250 two-stroke twins ever made. Imported to the UK in 1992. I bought the bike in 1998 from Bacons Motorcycles in Ilford but haven`t used it since 2001; odometer shows 16,554 kms/10,286 miles. It has been carefully garaged, regularly turned over and was recently prepared for MOT by Bacons who found no significant faults; work undertaken included stripping down and cleaning carburettors and power valves. MOT certificate expires 12 April 2013. It has a brand new battery, starts on the first kick, is running sweetly, starts on the first kick and sounds fantastic. Generally in fair condition, some scuffs here and there, and needs only cosmetic restoration to produce a real gem. Minor faults I am aware of; instrument lights and temperature gauge not working; discolouration of wing-mirror cases; small crack in windscreen by mirror mounting point. neon green. This is the proper 2 seat racing version, Which being a 2011 Model it benifits from the added reboarding step on the back of it. (Not to be confused with the 2009 FXsho which came in similar colours) It has done less than 20 Hours in the time ive owned it from new. It was purchased brand new from Stirling Marina,http://www.stirlingsmarine.co.uk/ a Yamaha dealer based just outside of Glasgow, for £15500 last year. and has only ever been used in fresh water at Loch Lomond by myself when i have spare time. It is still under full manufacturers warranty untill June 2013!!!! The yamaha warranty is amazing, It covers every item right down to the stickers. The ski is in excellent condition and regularly washed, polished and sealed to keep it looking good. I have also fitted a Riva Racing sponsors which were a £350 optional upgrade to make the handeling sharper and it turns far better with these fitted. It will also come with the Indespension trailer pictured in the photographs, Which had a brand new jockey wheel fitted to it last week. I have also had the mudguards colour coded diamond swarze BMW black to match my jeep. One of the mudguards is cracked, But a replacement can be bought from any indespension dealer for £15. is genuine as you will see from all the MOT`s that I have.For the past 6 years I have only used this bike for the occasional pleasure ride but each year when the MOT is done I pay whatever it cost to keep the bike up together. Last MOT had new Rear Disc and Pads Rear Master Cylinder Seal Kit total £268.97 spent. Full Givi Rack system including one 45 LTR Box as seen on the picture. The Bike is DATA TAGED This is a great bike with a good solid engine. As you can see from one of the photos there is a slight crack on the Fairing but this has been like this for years and has not travelled further. The fuel gauge does not work but the red light comes on and you have about 25 miles before you fill up. The gauges do not light up when the main lights are on but i`m sure this is easy to fix. going to tidy this one up and mot before selling it but can`t find the time as she`s got me doing a million other things. | I`ll start with the good bits and the extras | Avon tyres loads of tread, goodridge stainless steel braided brake hoses front and back, renthal handle bars and grips, twin dominator headlights,chrome LED front indicators, sports foot pegs, full stainless steel sports exhaust, carbon fibre effect vehicle wrap(unfinished) | It had an oil change air filter and new plugs about 1000miles ago. | The not so good bits | Need fork seals as one is leaking, the ignition key snapped(can start with a screw driver do have key for the fuel cap) the mounting for the right mirror is broken (mirror is fine) the rear right indicator is broken, the exhaust has small scrape at bottom of can and there is weld at bottom of exhaust that is not stainless and goes rusty. There is rattle from the clutch basket that is very common on alot of older bikes especially these xjs it has not got any worse over the 5000 miles I have used the bike. a small amount of tlc here and there to spruce her up | As you can see from the pics I have started to carbon the bike with 3M wrap but not finished it. shaft sits in is broken. this had been sealed off both sides with steel plates and the bike had been used by bump starting it. i dont have the time to change the casting so i am selling it as is. the bike could either be bodged back how it was and used by bump starting it or a secong hand casting used to replace the broken one. theres no shortage of yzf 450 being broke here on ebay. as it it is the bike will start with a bump start and will ride fine. i have removed the inside plate and silicone sealer so oil now leaks out the hole. a tube of silicone and a bit of tin and the bike could be used as is if you wished. me personaly i would want to change the casting.bike can be viewed if required. low start with no reserve. auction will run to the end and will not be ended early. feel free to ask any questions. serious bidders only and cash on collection within 7 days of auction end. i got the bike a few weeks ago as a non runner- it had a flat battery & had been stored a year.
