It was being sold as a none runner.The guy who we got it off had had it serviced and w***erised then put it into storage for four years, when he came to start it, it wouldn`t go, he`d only left the battery on fancy that !!! He was moving house and wanted a quick sale ! Checked it over, fitted a new sealed cell battery and had it running on the hose when we got back with no problems, started first push...Anyway, Sunday just gone was the first time we had chance to water test it. Had it on the water for around 1 and a half to two hours, no issues what so ever. When we picked the ski up it had 12.1hrs on it so it only has 13.6hrs now. The ski is like new. Seat hasn`t broken in, it`s quite hard, everything is like it should be.There is 2 very minor scratches on the top deck, hull is mint with no marks etc.It`s like a new ski, if this is looked after properly then it should do 300hrs+ so you have years of fun here. It comes with a hallmark fully galvanised roller type trailer with locking hitch. He has just replaced the wheel bearings and serviced the trailer and is about to fit a phneumatic wheel and tyre to the jockey wheel for easy launching, again the trailer is like new. A few pics included of it going, down at Colwyn on Sunday. For any serious buyers we may be able to arrange a water test but we are at least 1hr and a half a X | £4000.00  | |||||||

ago after looking for a long time i realist there was a lot of crap out there with bent frames xt running gear no paper work ect ect. then i was lucky anoth to find this beauty with matching numbers, log book and certificate of manufacture and had not been dropped down a cliff. when i got the bike it was not running i was told the engine was seized, which turned out to be the gear box second gear had broke and made a bit of a mess, so i had the box rebuilt not just second gear but the whorl lot with tt parts NOT xt parts at a cost of about £800 since this i have probly done 30 miles on this bike, it has no mot at the moment but if it make the right money i can get it moted befor pick up. this is a classic enduro bike which are getting harder to find. the bike is adventist elsewhere so i have the right to end the sale early. bike will need to be picked up from nn12. thanks for looking. will definetly be the nicest one for this year you will come across as it has had very little use and been only used as a second bike. It is in excellent condition and i would say about 25 -30 hours light use only(never raced). It has also been well maintained and in the last year only taken out twice. I have just put a new rear tyre on her and would have been still on original chain and sprockets but i changed them for cosmetic purpose only.You will not come across a bike this nice for its year again. in the Dealers in 2007. It was purchased new from Stirling Marina,http://www.stirlingsmarine.co.uk/ a Yamaha dealer based just outside of Glasgow, and has only ever been used in fresh water at Loch Lomond by myself when i have spare time. The ski is in excellent condition and regularly washed, polished and sealed to keep it looking good. I have also fitted a Riva Racing seat cover with gold stitching which not only looks great but it perfect for keeping a good grip on the ski when in the water. It will also come with the Indespension trailer pictured in the photographs. It has 68.1 hours on the clock which may go up ever so slightly if it is used this week in the high temperatures forecast, however the reason I am selling my ski is simply due to a lack of use as a result of a new business venture which leaves me next to no time to continue enjoying it, and it is a waste to leave such a cracking machine inside on nice summer days without use. the front and a chain/sprocket kit which is grubby but has obviously had very little use.It does start and run but will need attention as although the engine seems good mechanically it does backfire quite a lot which suggests a fuel system overhaul as a first port of call. There is an oil leak from the rocker cover which I`m told is quite common on this model however, I am not a Yamaha man so I couldn`t really say.This will make a nice easy project for someone that doesn`t want too much work. Please bear in mind when bidding that it will need to be collected by van or trailer as it has been unused for three years so a good thorough check over will be needed as an absolute minimum. has just had a top end rebuild with a rebore and new piston and rings (.75 oversize) and sounds great for a 125, one of the best engines i`ve heard running on a 4dl, its had a new battery and the previous owner put new chain and sprockets on it. Bodywork wise it has a few scuffs (shown in pictures 6&7) and some very small cracks that can be repaired, some of the paint has faded as it does on these marlboro models and the right hand side fairing panel has cracks in the orange paint, the storage flap on the back is complete and working with the key but the battery cover could do with a minor repair to the fixing where you screw it to the frame, but for now a cable tie is doing that job and was done by the previous owner. The paint on the frame and swingarm has faded and in places the paint has started to flake off here and there but nothing too bad. The exhaust downpipe is standard and in very good condition and the tail pipe is tyga and sounds very nice too. The tyres are great with plenty of tread and so are the fork seals as they have just been replaced. The bike is good for as it is now in its condition but for the purest then you could restore it to mint condition, the bike is complete with nothing missing (maybe a few screws etc) and would make a very easy restoration project or just use it as it is. has the rear muguard and even the reflector & everything seems as it should, it`s a joy to ride. As you can see its not been restored as I still ride the bike, & was going to keep & restore at a later date, alas that wont happen now!!!!( missus want a conservatory). The bike has had an extensive rebuild costing over £900, although some time ago, its not many miles ago. I have 2 keys for the bike,The bike has 2 faults, 1. The chgain has snapped at some time taking part of the engine casing with it, the owner then found the said part and can easily be alloy welded back on, something I was going to do at a time of restoration and 2, one of the plastic side casing has a crack, as they all do, so nothing to major. V5 etc and MOT certif`s dating back to the 1980`s (I think). Tyres are all good, has the original exhausts etc,I`m having a clean out of bikes, I`ve also got a GSXR on too. and taxed until the end of May. Engine and gearbox all work as it should. Both tyres are serviceable and will easily pass another MOT. The worst parts are the top fairing which is a pattern part and has suffered a minor trauma, its all there but I haven`t and won`t remove the very stylish gaffer tape. The original exhaust downpipes are blowing slightly and will require welding/filling/ignoring (delete where applicable). This is a great doer-upper on a budget. You could just blob the exhaust and ride it for the next 12 months!. Currently has a 33hp kit fitted with certificate which we can leave in or remove. The milage is 30 miles, obviously this is a new clock, original Yamaha for the model, I still have the original which has a crack in, showing 9 thousand odd miles from memory. In this case the bike DOES look as good if not better in the flesh than the photo. when restoring I tried to source original parts but for those that have done this it`s almost impossible to find everything so some parts are pattern parts, but look the business and are of the style for the year. Most parts have been re-chromed, powder coated sprayed or vapour blasted, the engine is SPOTLESS & has had a full rebuild. Wheels re spoked etc etc the list could go on & on. The bike would make a dam good centre point in any home, or just to show off & ride, as I did a couple of times last year, always gets a crowd.
