a honda Goldwing. I do like the bike, but I am just that little bit too old to enjoy the riding position for too long. I have had the bike serviced since I aquired it, and it runs like a dream. I have also had the seat slightly modified for extra comfort in the groin region!!! I have also replaced the wing mirrors, and also the headlight bulbs.The tyres are ok, and the brakes are fine. The bike does runs sounds good but the exhaust is blowing from the headers, so probably just wants new gaskets and bolting up correctly as it has fzr 750 downpipes fitted by the previous owner, the end can is a carbon end can no make printed on but does sound well and is not too loud and would pass a MOT. The good bits of the bike are, It has a brand new set of spark plugs in, a new battery (yuasa not a cheap battery) has new rear brake pads in, New chain and sprocket kit. Front and rear wheels have just been painted not by me but professionally. front pads aren`t new but have loads left on them and the front brake discs are in very good condition, Front and rear brakes are free and not sticking. The mileage shown is also in km (41676) so would be around 25000 mile`s ish. All electrics work. Has a K&N air filter fitted. Carbs have been cleaned serviced set up and balanced by a professional mechanic.The bike overall seems good and would probably pass a MOT with a advisory on the exhaust blowing. Now The Bad bits are has a slight oil leak from the generator cover as shown in pictures and also the paint work is not fantastic but it is 25 years old now, and also the screen brace is bent. FOR ITS MOT I FITTED NEW FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS AND FORK SEALS, FLEW THROUGH WITH NO ADVISORIES. SPEEDO WAS IN KM/H AND WAS SHOWING 43000KMS, BUT I CHANGED IT FOR AN MPH ONE WHICH IS SHOWING 37000 MILES, BUT I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL KMH ONE. I HAVE COVERED AROUND 1500 MILES ON THE BIKE. I TOOK IT ON A 320 MILE RIDE LAST MONTH AND IT KEEPS UP WITH A LOT OF NEWER BIKES. I FITTED A NEW SET OF METZELER ROADTEC Z6 TYRES LAST YEAR, WHICH HAVE COVERED LESS THAN 1000 MILES, AND REPLACED THE BROKEN SCREEN WITH A NEW BLUE TINTED ONE. neon green. This is the proper 2 seat racing version, Which being a 2011 Model it benifits from the added reboarding step on the back of it. (Not to be confused with the 2009 FXsho which came in similar colours) It has done less than 20 Hours in the time ive owned it from new. It was purchased brand new from Stirling Marina,http://www.stirlingsmarine.co.uk/ a Yamaha dealer based just outside of Glasgow, for £15500 last year. and has only ever been used in fresh water at Loch Lomond by myself when i have spare time. It is still under full manufacturers warranty untill June 2013!!!! The yamaha warranty is amazing, It covers every item right down to the stickers. The ski is in excellent condition and regularly washed, polished and sealed to keep it looking good. I have also fitted a Riva Racing sponsors which were a £350 optional upgrade to make the handeling sharper and it turns far better with these fitted. It will also come with the Indespension trailer pictured in the photographs, Which had a brand new jockey wheel fitted to it last week. I have also had the mudguards colour coded diamond swarze BMW black to match my jeep. One of the mudguards is cracked, But a replacement can be bought from any indespension dealer for £15. made worldwide. | I bought this bike as a project to put back to 100% standard. It`s a 10,000 mile spanish import registered in year 2000 that had stood for 10 years and done almost nothing. The bits that aren`t original are the end can - a Leo Vinci silencer with an interesting OW01 badge specially made for it (I was told it is gold plated but haven`t been able to verify the truth of that), the dark screen (original available but needs polishing work), a strangely customised rear seat pad that has had white piping added to it and black wheels. It`s also had a lot of work put into polishing out painted fork legs in the past and other standard parts that would have had a rough sand blasted finish. The frame and swingarm are 100% clean and free of damage bar a pin mark on the swingarm. | I have had no time to spend on the bike sadly thanks to a young family and too many distractions so it`s sat here wanting to be loved and cleaned up like new. Even though it has no tax or MoT it wouldn`t take much to get them. Basically the bike is dirty and needs a good clean up and a bit of TLC. I took the carbs off and serviced those when I bought it as it wasn`t running smoothly thanks to a missing throttle body sync screw so one of the carb slides only opened a quarter when all the others were wide open. The only reason for this reluctant sale is that I have bought a bigger bike as I will be doing lots of motorway driving this year due to a new job. I can`t afford to run two bikes.Since owning the bike it`s had new front and rear bridgestone tyres (rear barely scrubbed in). New chain and sprockets. Rear brake pads (whole system drained and fluid replaced). EXUP including new tyres,oil filter,oil,battery and more only 800 miles ago.During the last month it has had carbs cleaned and set up,new fork seals and new clutch and a new MOT which lasts until April 2013.Currently sorned.So if you want to ride it away you need insurance and road fund licence. 1990 model year imported 2001.Has Viper exhaust that sounds fantastic.An awesome ride that feels excellent even though it is now quite a mature bike.It does not feel as if you are riding an EXUP that has done 41thousand miles.Paintwork is OK but NOT immaculate and not original but quite tidy.Tyres still look as if they are almost new as does the chain and sprockets.EXUP is stuck open like most of these old ones.Still rides brilliantly could be ridden away anywhere today...very fast.Viewing recommended before you commit yourself as all old motorbikes are NOT perfect.PLEASE PLEASE NO TIME WASTERS...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!
