the bike still has its "California off Highways Green” decal on the frame which expired in the same year! | I was extremely lucky to come across this bike nearly 2 years ago having been looking for a good genuine, and if possible, unrestored example of an IT465 for some time. | The bike itself is in superb condition throughout and needed very little work to bring it back to life. I can`t take any of the credit for the sympathetic strip down and rebuild as everything was done by the original UK owner, but as it had been unused for 26 years he sensibly stripped the bike to check all was ok, and simply cleaned everything, regreased parts wherever necessary, and replaced some seals, all the oils, fluids and cables throughout – that`s all it needed as it was that good! | The paint on the frame isn`t perfect but is original and keeping the original patina of the bike is a lot more important to me than a shiny new finish! The original owner told me the engine is still on its original bore, piston & rings, although he did replace the clutch. All the footpegs / lever mounts are also original and without play, even the exhaust is original and extremely good with only a couple of slight dents.
