The bike has only ever been used by me in the dry and is always garaged when not in use.The bike is in overall very good condition with a few nicks and stone chips that you`d expect from a bike of this age. I`ll even stick my neck out and say that you`ll struggle to find another R6 of this year in as good condition. Any viewing is welcome.In terms of aftermarket parts, the bike`s wearing a pyramid plastics undertray / rear LED lights, LED indicators and a tail tidy which really smartens the bike up, has Renthal grips, a stainless FUEL slip on exhaust, R&G Crash Mushrooms, Iridium double-bubble screen and a single seat solid pillion cover (have original pillion seat and grab rails).I have MOT certificates going back to 2004, both original keys and the owner`s manual. I`ll also chuck in the Haynes Manual.The bike is taxed until 31.03.2012 and the MOT runs to June 30.06.2012I`m meticulous when it comes to bike maintenance and never overlook little jobs when they need doing. I say Its 90% finished just requires rear wheel fitting as he had lost the rear spindle, Ive brought one but requiers turning down to fit. Its had a complete rebuild including engine, Frame powder coated, New head stock bearings, michelin tyres have only been used once or twice, ive checked and rewrapped wiring loom, Brand new plastic set, it will run with fuel and oil but ive left it dry so i didnt damage the paint whilst building! Basicaly everything here to put bike back on the track, Ive just run out of time and inclernation as I have had an operation and will not be able to ride! REMEMBER YOU BID TO BUY! it sounds wonderful and has so much torque (expected from a lump like this). | It has never been used during the winter and only been out in the wet if I`ve got caught in a shower. This is for "dry sunny days" only. | It has had the fork seals replaced this winter, both tyres have loads of tread, the chain and sprockets have no wear and It has dealer service history and is due for a service now. it does have a hairline crack to the side of the headlamp lense (it had that when I got it, it does not let water in or steam up.. when washed etc). | It has no modifications apart from a chain oiler system fitted that delivers lubricant to the drive sprocket so there are no pipes going along the swing arm! is currently sorn and no MOT. The headlight in the picture is just for show and the original motocross number board is included. The bike has never been raced by me and never raced according to the previous owner who was a middle aged man who bought it new. I bought it for Enduro and green laning as this model has the 5 speed gearbox and is much lighter and faster than a WR450 which I had before. I`ve barely used the bike since I`ve had it and have had a KTM530exc I`ve been using for the last 6 months so this bike is surpass to requirements and is a shame to sit there not being used. The suspension has been revalved, sprung and set up by RG3 which is a very reputable company. There are fork bleeders, alloy fuel cap and deep sump fitted as well as a bang meter which is currently showing about 59 hrs.(this was fitted by previous owner) The bike is also fitted with black excel rims and gold talon hubs with heavy duty stainless spokes. There are genuine Yamaha rad braces fitted and an alloy sump guard. Tyres are in reasonable condition, maybe half worn and the chain and sprockets are fine as are the brake pads. There are neoprene fork guards fitted to save the fork seals from mud and damage. The acerbic hand guards are no longer fitted as there on the 530 now. can get it renewed early for the winning bidder as I know it will pass with no problems, if they wish. This R6 was one of the first fuel injected models with the Y.I.S.S Yamaha immobiliser fitted. I`ve owned the bike for nearly 5 years and it has never let me down. The 2 previous owners were husband and wife. He used it to go to work on, then passed it to his wife when he bought a new bike. It has a full main dealer service history up until I bought it. Since then it has had a major service when I bought it and regular yearly oil and filters. I have the V5 registration document, all the MOT`s since I`ve owned the bike, the RED spare coding key, service history book, original owners manual and original tool kit. I had also HPI checked the bike when I bought it, which was clear, but for some reason or other I can`t find the paperwork. I just thought I`d mention it. I replaced the exhaust with a road legal Scorpion exhaust which I think makes it look a bit better. It`s not a wake up the neighbours loud can, it just gives the bike a better note. I still have the original for the buyer if they want it.The brake lines have been replaced with a 3 line Hel stainless steel braided hose kit, the screen has been replaced with a double bubble screen and I have put some crash bungs on the sides just in case! as spares or repair although it is MOT`d and taxed and it does run/drives etc it does need a few things doing to it in my opinion to make it a great reliable mile munching touring machine! When i bought the bike i discovered that the tank was badly corroded inside,its been cleaned out using electolysis,this removed the rust but the upper tank surface now has fine pin prick holes in it so would require a dose of pet seal or a second hand tank,often available on E-bay.The rear wheel bearings have some play,but i have a brand new set which will be given to new owner.The tyres are in very good condition,as are the chain and sprockets,all of which must of been fitted recentley. The exhaust down pipes and collector are in very good solid condition(may be stainless very dirty) but the silencers blow a bit where the attach.It has done 67000 miles and had a few owners so it has scratches and general battle damage,its to be expected as its nearly 21 years old,would make good commuter/winter runabout ! As with most things over 21 years old there is some wear and tear including cracked mirror on the right hand side, missing mirror on left hand side and also broken clutch lever bobbin - due to falling over on drive. Petrol tank will need a respray due to paint flaking. This items are inexpensively sourced on ebay!! On the positive side there are good bridgstone tyres with life left in them and a new battery! show how big this bike is so its not really for the shorter rider its quite a big thing.Electric start and shaft drive give it an easy start and ride and though no racer it will cruise all day at a nice relaxed pace but not as slow and boring as the newer "cruisers~viragos etc" Its an unusual triple with plenty of torque and quite revvy for a four stroke and due to the after market MOTAD 3 into 1 exhaust it sounds superb and can be heard coming though not quite enough to annoy the neighbourhood.Recent oil & filter change and I have always done this every 2000 miles... cos I want to... Mechanically I know of no faults with no leaks of fluid from anywhere it shouldnt be leaking.It does have the odd chatter,tap or whirr as all oldies do but nothing that warrants an worry. All chromework is sound but there is some surface rust on headlight rims,clocks etc from sitting in damp garage but I know this would clean off, bit of Autosolv,cant whack it, A months Tax are still on it and it has 12 months MOT. tyres, i have just had new brake pads in the front, clutch cable, fork seals, water pump seal and battery, I have just given it a full service using castrol engine oil and castrol 2 stroke and a NGK irridium spark plug, It has a blue frame which looks really smart, The power valve works fine and kicks in perfectly, This has been de-restricted so is quite fast for a 125, The previous owner has a top end rebuild on the bike i have a receipt for that with the other docs, I have the MOT certifate and the V5 present, The front indicators are aftermarket ones they are a perlecent colour and look quite good, All the electrics work fine as the bike shop tidied all wiring up for me, The bike is in very condition for its age if i was to pick a fault with the condtion would be the number plate but thats nothing, This is only up for sale as i have lost all my hours at work so unfortuantly this has to go to buy a cheap ped to run about :( will be sad to see it go.
